Dave & Renee arrived in Langley to become the pastors of The Willows in 2017. They met in South Africa at a Salvation Army International Youth Forum. They have been married for 22 years and spent some of that time in Southern Ontario (St. Catharines), a couple of years in Winnipeg and have been in Langley for over 6 years now. Dave was born and raised in New Zealand and immigrated to Canada in 2001, working in mechanical engineering and project management. Renee spent time as an elementary school teacher and childcare provider. A deeper grasp of God’s amazing power of reconciliation, healing and restoration through Jesus in 2011, led to a calling away from the independent, upwardly mobile, “comfortable” Christian life and into a ministry of shepherding God’s people and equipping them for mission.
They are committed to integrated mission within The Salvation Army and are eager to see the Spirit nourish and empower the community in and around The Willows to see transformation in many lives leading to flourishing families and individuals through a culture of spiritual mentoring.
The McFadden’s love to travel and have visited all 10 Canadian provinces with their boys, Jackson (18) and Xavier (16). Still working on getting up to the Territories and exploring more of the West Coast!
